Inauguration of the German Honorary Consul San Diego
Consul General Wolfgang Drautz introduced Dr. Stephan Hollmann as the new Honorary Consul here in San Diego. He will be supported by Armina Kranz, Legal Counselor and Assistant to the Honorary Consul and Business Development Manager of German American Chamber of Commerce California.
The office of the German Honorary Consul will start several initiatives which include:
- The "Transatlantic Climate Bridge" which provides a platform for information exchange, business collaboration, and joint ventures.
- The creation of a "German House of Arts, Culture and Business" right here in San Diego.

New International Relations Office (IRO) established

The WORLD TRADE CENTER San Diego (WTCSD) officially launched and celebrated their newly established International Relations Office (IRO).
The IRO is an active partner of the GACC CA to open new business opportunities for German companies in San Diego.
The new IRO foster the contact with international business companies and the San Diego business community. Formed as an inter-agency clearinghouse, the IRO is designed to streamline processes among regional organizations and businesses to create a world-class experience for visitors and a positive image of doing business in this region.
