We are excited to announce that San Diego is hosting “German Currents San Diego Film Festival”!
This premiere event (see festival photos) brings four new award-winning masterpieces of German cinema to Southern California in collaboration with Goethe Institute Los Angeles, Office of the Honorary Consul Germany and GACC California. A special thank-you goes to Mona Mukherjea-Gehrig for her tireless work.
Join us for German Currents premiere edition on October 22nd and 23rd in the Joan & Irwin Jacobs Theater at the Museum of Photographic Arts in historic Balboa Park!
German Currents opens with an award-winning film, followed by a reception in the theater’s foyer with food, German wine and champagne. Guests have a unique opportunity to mingle with actors and luminaries immediately after the screening.
All four movies offer an entertaining medium to explore popular culture and social trends. By presenting a piece of modern Germany through the medium of cinema, we aim to create a multicultural event that can be enjoyed by everyone who appreciates film and theater.
It would be great if you could pass this on to your friends! Please let us know if you need posters and flyers, we can come by and leave a few. Thank you for your support!
