German American Chamber of Commerce California in collaboration with six other organizations hosted a European-American Business Forum at the beautiful Complete Frida Kahlo exhibit in Liberty Station, San Diego. Due to the generous sponsorship of the European Commission and support of the European Union-American Center of Commerce for Southern California (EUACCSC), this event offered a fascinating combination of culture, art, food, and wine. The evening kicked off with short speeches from Leni Preciado Vice Chair of the World Trade Center San Diego, Laila SchneiderGossens Director of Businesses Development at GACC California and Delle Willett, a member of the exhibition’s marketing team, who explicitly highlighted Frida’s German heritage and close ties and influences from Europe. The exhibit is the only opportunity worldwide to see her entire work in one place consisting of 123 licensed replicas, plus a fascinating display of the famous artist’s possessions. The exhibit will end it’s San Diego residency on May 11, 2014, and continue its tour through the United States thereafter.
The event was presented by the World Trade Center San Diego.
